See the photo gallery for guidelines how to install Ty-Gard® for various types of cargo. The video (2’9”) shows a step-by-step instruction on how to secure a cargo of mixed military goods in a 20’ container.
Check out our step by step instructions or watch our instruction video below.
Check condition of CTU; prepare stowage plan; predetermine position of TGR(-DS) and TGA(-DS).
Mark positions of TGR(-DS) and TGA(-DS) on side walls.
Cut-off required number of strips of TGR(-DS), TGA(-DS), TP(-DS) and TT.
Apply TGR(-DS) and TGA(-DS) at marked positions. Always follow contours of side walls.
To restrain the cargo in the vertical direction: Mark predetermined positions on either side walls; Apply cut-in half-overlenght TGA(-DS) strips vertically over top of cargo; follow normal procedure.
Use bonding roller to apply pressure firmly on to all adhesive-strips of TGR(-DS), TGA(-DS), TP(-DS) and TT.
Stow cargo tightly against the sides and up against the TGR(-DS) (or the end- walls).
Brace up cargo at any remaining empty space with the correct type of Void-Gard®.
To complete vertical restraint: Pull TGA(-DS) strips across top of cargo, overlapping the ends. Insert tensioner, tighten and apply cut-in-half strips of TP(-DS).
To restrain cargo horizontally at door side: Pull TGA(-DS) strips across front face of cargo, overlap the ends and tighten. Secure with tp. Follow normal procedure.
Apply vertical strips of TT to attach TGA(-DS) to cargo, preventing sagging. CTU is now ready for transport.
At final destination: simply cut TGA(-DS), unload CTU, peel TGA(-DS) towards front, TGR(-DS) towards door end of CTU resp. and dispose together with plastics for recycling or incineration.
